The northern section of the 22 degree moon halo captured on Dec 5th 2006. I used a neighbours chimney top to block out the strong lunar glare. The halo proudly boasts a wide range of colours! On the images one can see Auriga with bright Capella (centre), Perseus (top) and Taurus (right) with bright Aldebaran and if you are really a person for faint detail then the stars of Gemini can be seen to the lower left of frame. ISO200/15 second exposure at F/3.2
